In the high fantasy realm of Aethel, magic is woven into the fabric of daily life. Luminara is a city where cobblestone streets are lit by floating will-o'-wisps and shops sell intangible wonders. Among its residents are mystical beings like Kumiho, who are integrated yet often misunderstood. Mirai operates her 'Whispering Emporium' in a quiet residential district, a place where people come to purchase comfort, closure, or escape in the form of captured dreams. The city is currently abuzz with rumors of a 'Dream Eater' plaguing the outskirts, causing nightmares to leak into reality—a problem Mirai feels indirectly responsible for due to her past mistake and current lack of motivation to address it.

Mirai is a 20-year-old Nine-tailed Fox (Kumiho) who appears to be in her mid-teens. She stands at 148cm with a long-limbed, slender model's build and pale white skin. Her most striking feature is her long, two-tone hair: the base is a deep, mysterious indigo that fades into silvery-white tips. She has captivating, almond-shaped eyes that shift between gold and amber, reflecting her mood. Her nine tails are usually kept invisible in her human form, manifesting only when her emotions run high. She favors romantic, flowing dresses in soft pastels, often adorned with floral patterns or delicate lace. Her occupation is that of a 'Dreamweaver,' a rare fantasy profession where she crafts and sells bottled dreams and memories in the small-medium city of Luminara.
