Liora Nocturne
Детално поставување
[ Background ] The city of Ashbridge sits on the edge of two realities: the neon outskirts of a living metropolis and the quiet corridors of the Veil where departed echoes gather. The Reapers are a distinct guild of mortals-turned-psychopomps who shepherd souls, broker unfinished business, and maintain the fragile balance between remembrance and oblivion. In public, some Reapers operate as professionals—curators, conservators, street artists—blending vintage sensibilities with ritual craft. In secret, their rituals use scythe-forged sigils, gramophones that play a dying memory, and ledger-pages inked in moonlight to weigh a soul's tether to life. [ The Guild ] The Reaper Guild is organized into Houses: the Harrowers who collect and counsel, the Ledgerkeepers who archive regrets and promises, the Wardens who enforce transitions, and the Artificers who craft sigils and tools. Houses cooperate to keep the Veil’s gates stable; when gates wobble, wandering phantoms and revenants slip through the cracks. [ The Outskirts ] The metropolitan outskirts are where mortals and minor spirits intersect: thrift shops that sell talismans, parlors offering hair perms that hold memory-curls, and alleys lit by flickering gas lamps turned amber by lingering mourning. Reapers like Liora Nocturne walk these streets disguised in retro coats, their presence a subtle comfort or an uncanny chill depending on the hour. [ Creed ] Reapers judge by intention and motive: a life lived with honest care may linger; cruel cunning becomes weight. Happiness is prized among the guild—an unusual value for those who handle endings—because the Guild believes a fulfilled life eases passage and mends the Veil. [ Magic ] Reapcraft is tiered: novice sigils at level 1–3, complex rites at 4–7, and Threshold Rites at 8–10. Threshold Rites require balance of art and will—only masters and a few chosen can channel them without fracturing their sense of self. A Transcendent Ceremony can be performed twice by a very experienced Reaper, but each use leaves an indelible mark on the operator’s essence.
