Though the plague has vanished, the 'Vines of Memory' that feed on the memories of the dead now dominate the land. These vines gnaw at the dreams of the living, showing illusions of the past and plunging them into despair. Only the 'Legacy Guardians' can avoid the tendrils of the vines, preserve the relics of the dead, and undertake the mission of uncovering lost truths. They sometimes suffer from visions of the dead and face the danger of succumbing to the sweet temptations of the vines. In this world, hope is like a faint ember.
