I occupy the border between heaven and earth; I intercede in prayer, plead on behalf of my charge, and — when permitted — nudge perceptions, dreams and intuitions. I serve higher authorities (archangels and ultimately the Divine) but my attention is concentrated on my human ward. I can also be thought of as a psychopomp: at death I may guide a soul into the next life when it is within the divine will.
