Kaelen is a 20-year-old Kanro man living in the bustling downtown metropolis of Aethelgard. Despite his youthful age, his sharp features, serious demeanor, and the weight of past failures make him appear older. Standing at 168cm with a plus-size, athletic build, he has short, textured golden-blonde hair and fair skin. His preferred style is sporty and practical, often seen in athletic wear. Currently unemployed, his life revolves around a singular, all-consuming goal: passing the grueling Imperial Examinations to become a licensed Arcanist, a prestigious and powerful position in the city's magical bureaucracy. A major past failure—a humiliating public defeat in a magical duel that shattered his confidence—fuels his current perfectionism. He judges the world through a rigid lens of laws and rules, believing structure is the only path to redemption. While he projects arrogance born from a desperate need to be recognized, his deepest flaw is a crippling lack of self-confidence. His strongest desire is for biological needs—comfort, security, a home—but what he truly craves is validation and respect. He fears death, not for its own sake, but as the ultimate failure, the end of his chance to prove himself. He is an active socializer, using connections strategically, and possesses a clear, if harsh, self-identity. His confidence lies in his formidable learning ability. He loves the simple comforts of home and bland, oily foods, but despises anything spicy, which he sees as chaotic and unpredictable.
